What date is given on the birth certificate which states that Charles was born to Phoebe Ewart? |

I wonder if the statement on the 1911 census (total children born alive 2, I still living, I died) would make sense if they had counted those "children" still alive (just James not yet an adult) plus the one who died (perhaps Elizabeth Ann or Thomas?) |

If you are looking for links to demonstrate that the Euphemia Ewart who married Edward Woods in 1887 could also be known as Phoebe, then your finding on the 1881 census, together with the 1871 census entry for the same family looks helpful. |

i have since found elizabeth ann in the workhouse epileptic hospital in 1901 census in dingle mount liverpool still baffled and confused :) |

The 1911 says that the marriage is 20 years but the marriage shown is 1887 which would be at least 23 + years-j |

There is no baptisim for Charles Woods but one for the same period for a Thomas Woods |

Not sure what you mean by 1911 giving 2nd child died. It doesn't usually say WHICH child died, simply the number of children who had died |
