What date is given on the birth certificate which states that Charles was born to Phoebe Ewart?

I wonder if the statement on the 1911 census (total children born alive 2, I still living, I died) would make sense if they had counted those "children" still alive (just James not yet an adult) plus the one who died (perhaps Elizabeth Ann or Thomas?)

New information in the 1911 census was concerned with the family, that is the questions that had to be answered by married women on how long they had been married and how many children there were from the marriage. -j

his death certif says he died in 1951 aged 61 so his birt is 1890

Can you confirm that Charles was born 1893 and not 1890?

Also what happened to Elizabeth and Edward?

The 1911 says that the marriage is 20 years but the marriage shown is 1887 which would be at least 23 + years-j

Not sure what you mean by 1911 giving 2nd child died. It doesn't usually say WHICH child died, simply the number of children who had died

Can't see any entry for Phoebe Ewart on freebmd so maybe that was Euphemia's nickname

but Thomas aged 11months in 1901, is same age as your Charles .

charles woods born liverpool 1890 died liverpool 1951 .
i have his marriage lines stating his father was edward woods yet his army records list his father as charles and his mother phoebe.

in the 1911 census it gives brother james but says 2nd child has died yet i know charles died in 1951.
also his death certificate lists a brother e woods.

there are so many woods families in liverpool.
i have charles birth cert says his mother is phoebe ewart but these searches leave me more confused.
i have found a euphemia and possibly its alternative name to phoebe but how do i link these
