I am also trying to gain info on a Thomas Evans born 1903 Folkstone i beleive, but because of the lack of info i have no headway. He was in the army and served on the Burma Railway.Because of the attrocities he was subjected to survived and was given a few years after the war to live.I do not no his rank, regiment or no. But its his army career with the Burma Railway that interests me. |

Thanks again for the help.I think now Edith May is Irenes mother hence the same middle name. Also Kathleen could be Gladys Kathleen Sandford mother, but her middle names were Kathleen M. But was the M for May. |

Hi great stuff. Many thanks for your help. its my first time on the community board. Its great. Now i dont now if these are blood sisters. Irene had her mothers maiden name of Sandford in the birth record, but was born later in 1911 for the cencus. My hunch is being born from an elder sister. Also i did find Albert who i beleive to be the father married a Emma Slingsby 1901 but she died in 1910 age 36 which tends to lead me to this hunch.I dont think they would be adopted. The cert.i now can only be the true back up for this. |

I think you'll have to buy one of the birth certificates to get parents' names. |
