I am researching my mothers side of the family The Edser Family and cannot seem to go back past my grandfather William Edser born 1886 dies 1929. Can anyone help. William married Maud Prestonn in 1921. :-S

Hi There, I know my grandfather name was Willaim Edser however he was defiantely not alove when my Grandfather amrried my Nan Maud Preston.
I just do not know if my drandfather was the William Edser from surrey or the one from Wandsworth. Thanks everyone for your help it is much appreciated.
So far I have his marraige certificate to my nan, and his death certificate.

It simply refers to a William Edser married a ? Preston In Wands worth in the June Qua 1921.
If you do have his marriage cert you would know his fathers name ,it would help to trace his family back further.

I have his marraige certificate which i have acanned and will attach to him in my tree but both William and Maud's father were deceased. However Maud did not know her father and Henry Preston on her marragie cert either did not exist or it was her mothers brother. Harriet Preston her mother was a spinster all her life. William's father is William but i can find no record that matches with his occupation.
