Hi am trying to look at fathers ancestors-have found his granfather was born in Norfolk but came down to london-have tried to trace the grandmother but just have christian name Mary -would be interested to see if can trace her family at all I think she was from london many thanks |

Ok have found them on census in 1901 -THEY were living in Chelsea the head William Williamson was cab driver came from snettisham Norfolk -his wife Mary was from Bromley by Bow ?born 1854 -children with them Anne Williamson William Williamson Edward Williamsonn (my granfather) and they had adopted son Henry Allen |

In 1871 he is single and i think they had their first child in 1873 so it narrows down the window somewhat. The first children were born in Marylebone so this could be the marriage. We just need to decide which Mary it is. |
