Thank you all Taree not possible as the story is he was in Sydney 1928.
Age 64 S Melb looks very promising as it puts him b 1883, his birth was 1885 not to far off the mark. Regards Kay

Son Chas Robert died in NSW in 1971 (reg 68627).

Not sure about the Taree death for Harry. A transcription agent would help with spouse and children's names from cert relatively cheaply (eg Joy Murrin), but not really a solid match.

So Harry & Mary Emma were in NSW in 1919 - bit of a stretch for him to remarry in Vic in 1920? Could be a coincidence; Bennett is quite a common name.

Harry and Emma Married 1911 Victoria had 4 children,Emma and children move to Sydney. election roll in Victoria have that bit, marriage have that thank you to all so much. I have Mary Emma's certificates done and dusted news clipping as well you are all very quick to find this info for me. Can not find harry in a return to England, have his family in Stockport 1911. The Sydney sighting is from a family story that could be abt.1928. his Father is Robert Bennett mother Sarah Ann Taylor m Nov 1883 Stockport Harry's siblings are Frank 1889, Emily 1890. Robert re married 1896 then 2 more children Doris and Robert. I hope I have covered it all. Now I don't know what happened to good old Harry Bennett. 1922 he would have been 37 too old for war? Next question is: Did he have any children or siblings and did he marry again after Mary Emma?

What record have you found him on in Sydney on 1929 and who was he with etc..............?

Mary Emma (Stafford) was born 1889 in Cheadle, Cheshire, England. I have his and her birth and marriage but for the life of me can not find a death for Harry I do know at some poin he was living in Sydney 1929

Possible that the 1928 death is an assumption, based on the fact that Mary Emma remarried in 1929! Nothing in NSW or Victoria.

Perhaps they divorced?

I cant see either of them after this 1914 ER, there is another M E Bennett in Malvern, Fawkner, Victoria but thats not your girl as she is also on the 1914 ER the same time as the one above

A tree at ancestry has Harry' death in 1928 and Mary Emma in 1973? Have you checked the CWWG site for a death in service for Harry?
