Find Ancestors

I'm trying to find the parents of William Robert Price b 2/4/1912 supposidly in Ebbw Vale Wales.

I've tried the usual sources ie FreeBMD and Family search but with no luck.
Can anyone help please,

I know Price will be a common name in Wales but is it possible to see if there are any families of the right kind of age in the 1911 census who might have gone on to have a son in 1912?

Father - if known- will be named on marriage cert

No birth on freebmd in the period you state.

Was he perhaps born with a different surname?

Where did you find out the exact DOB?

The birthday was from a friend I presume it is correct. Also his death reg in October 1992 states he was 80

He married a Margaret McGlynn in 1950 Liverpool

I have now found out that William Robert Price's mothers name was Emily so I am back to square one!
They must have been living in the Bedwelty area as William was born there but I can't find a marriage.

I am looking for a Margaret Mcglynn b 7th March 1915 possibly from the Galway Bay area

She married twice first to Kenneth Pugh then to William Robert Price b 1912 (see earlier post) in 1950 in Liverpool.

Does anyone have access to Irish records?

Buy the 1950 marriage cert to find out her father's name - and William's (assuming they were known)

It would also help if you identified the source of your 'info' about William Price's mother's name..............

Also - how you 'know' where William was born.............

The birthdates and other info came from his daughter she lives in Argentina now so has no documents other than her memories.
Her father didn't talk about his father.
She has just become a Grandmother herself and I wanted to do a tree as a surprize

Unsubstantiated info from relatives is not a good basis for research

Perhaps her father 'didn't talk about his father' because he didn't know him

This tree isn't going to be completed accurately without expenditure on certs.........
