I can't see Florence's mother's christening, but they had 2 brothers christened, this is one of them:

It looks like he married in 1925, and had 2 children 1931/33. I'll pm the details as another member has them in her tree, and their son was in the Widnes area on 192.com & I think is in the phone book.

Could be worth trying to contact them - they are of the same age so may know what happened to their cousins.

Looks like Eva lived to a ripe old age - may be worth cheching who registered her death?

I thank the person who gave me William R .Kelly's name and Reg number
as this is the only child of Eva Grundy that fits in with the Liverpool West-Derby area.

I could not find any death of a baby in Lancashire in 1933 named Joseph Swindells!
Looked right up to 1960's so he must have lived !

But the second marriage of Joseph Swindells 1899 to Edith Walsh 1916 they had a son called you guessed...Joseph Swindells on the 02/04/1945.. why would he call a second son Joseph if the first was still alive?

Don't rely on family 'hearsay ' - it can often be very misleading...especially in this case, where they were not apparently even aware of his existence.

Excellent I will see what I can find out about William R. Kelly who would be a year younger than Florence.

Family think Joseph Swindells 1933 ..Florence's brother may have died along with the mother in child birth as his birth date is in the same year as her death.

I think you may have found a brother to Florence! we had no idea there was a brother also.
I think I will order both birth certificates from the registration on line and find the full birth dates to both Florence and Joseph.

The other childen from second marriage did not know about Florence till recently.

Sorry I do not know what the E stands for as I have only got the registered page for her birth which is between July /August/September 1931

I know who her father and mother are so I didn't send for her full birth certificate.
We would like to know if Florence married , had any children , if Eva Kelly adopted her or if Florence has died.

Do you know what happened to Florence's brother?

There is, as far as I can see, only one marriage for anyone of her name (as given) in England/Wales that could possibly be hers.

The spouse's surname is Peacock - and the marriage took place in Kent

I am researching for a step sister for my husbands family tree.
Joseph Swindells born 1899 and with his first wife they had their daughter Florence E. Swindells in 1931 but his wife died in 1935 and Florence was given to his wife sister Eva Kelly maiden name Grundy they lived in 112 Towson Street Everton Liverpool in the 1911 census.
I have found Eva was married to a John Kelly in Liverpool in 1927 but then I have drawn a blank.
There has been some information that Florence Swindells may have married a George Roberts but looking on BDM I have not been able to find this marraige.
Joseph went on to marry again and he died in 1959 he had four other children who would like to know all about their half sister that they never met. Florence would be in her 80's now and may have died.
Any help with this quest would be wonderful.
