Jane Ellen is down as a visitor on the 1851 census and not their child. I will take anopther look.
I shall have to look further as I think she could be a wife of someone but not sure if it is Thomas. The Gorgina is also a visitor so probably Ellen's child. they have Son down for Thomas but also Head in the next column.

Hi just wondering what do to if we need to go back than 1800-have got this far with my mums side of family -would like to know a little more about him-have found he was married to an Elizabeth ??? and she was a schoolmistress so woulkd be fasinated to learn more thanks Jane
