She may not have been registered it was not compulsary then...or should I say there were no penalties for not doing so

Hi

I have found a baptism for Ellen Ricketts who I believe could be my relation - she was baptised in 1857 (17th May) in St Martin in the Fields, and this confirms she was born on 1st March 1857 - I was thinking of getting her birth certificate however I cannot find the birth record, would anyone mind having a look for me.
