I don't think that John Snr had the middle name Turner I can find no evidence for that but as some of their children had the middle name Turner (their mothers maiden name) is not that unusual but it would normally be the fathers surname given as middle name to an illegitimate child |

You appear to have info from the 1883 marriage in spalding for John Snr but he would be to old to have served in WW1 so i now assume that the deaths you can confirm are for his children is that correct? |

Horrace, Is it a verified fact that he died in France during WW1? only he does not appear on the CWGC unless he had a middle name? |

Looking for the date of death of my paternal ancestor, above, who died in Runcorn, Cheshire. She was the daughter of Thomas Turner, born 1838 in Fordham, who was a market gardener there. Sarah married John Greest in the parish of Lutton, in Lincolnshire on 11th June, 1883. John Greest was killed in the 1st WW at the age of 40. Sarah lived in Runcorn, Cheshire, until her death there. |
