Hi there, I am looking for any relations, or anyone who might have some information on James Harries born abt 1849 St.Issels, Narberth, Wales.
I have become stuck trying to discover his parents. I have found correct census records of him from 1881 onwards- but am having trouble with the ones prior to these.

His occupation on the census of 1881 is listed as Seaman...could it be that he wouldn't be on/very hard to find him on any records before this? I am trying to find an records to do with this occupation.

If you think you might be a relation....I am a direct descendant of Benjamin Edward Harries, his son. James married a Marry Ann Wilcox. And they lived in St Issels in Narberth.

Thank you all very much for your help. The census records you've found are brilliant, I believe them to be true. And the marriage of Thomas and Jane, giving her Maiden name as Davies I would never have found- the searches I've been doing for that early on never seem to show the wife's maiden name. Hopefully, I can add to my tree now and more will come to me.
