I know this is a big ask but see it as a challenge!

I have been searching in Family Search for Francis Wardell who I calculate was born c.1790 but so far I have only found him being a father c.1820 in Thornton Dale which I believe is next to Pickering. However I have just come across :-

1851 Census
name: Francis Wardell
age: 6
gender: M
birthplace: Acklam, Yorkshire
relationship to head of household: Grand Son

and I am most intrigued to know whose grandson this Francis is.

There are 2 Aklams in my road atlas, one on the edge of Middlesboro and the other is south of Malton which, in turn is south of Pickering.

Many thanks,
Frances
