Yes thats Ronald C Southwick, he married Sally Jones..John Jones was Sallys father..John Jones wife Georgina Todd dissapeared when Sally was aged 9 (abt 1949), she ran off with her sister in laws brother Bernard?? Sally is still alive aged 73 and has no idea what happened to her mother..Salvation Army went to look for her, thats when they tracked her down in Manchester, John Jones was looking for a divorce, but she never returned. John Jones died c1966 at Finsbury Park Islington.. |

There's a Ronald Southwick living at 40 Haden Court, Lennox Road Islington from 1958 with a John Jones, by 1961 (sorry this should read 1960) there is also a Sally Southwick recorded, and a marriage for Ronald C to Sally Jones in 1956. |

The children would not be recorded on the electoral rolls until they were eligible to vote, ie age 21. |

Thats the details I have! when I looked up the electoral Registration I see the family in 1933 1934, 1935 (they have Eileen Mabel Harris living with them) but not sure if its the same Eileen..According to my notes Eileen was expectiong or just had Ronald 1935 and had left her husband by this time, I seen Eileen Mabel Haris along with Ellen Olive Harris in 1936 1937 1938 but not in 1939 where there is a death for Eileen M Southwick in 1939. But according to my source she seems to think Eileen died when her yongest son Ronald Charles Southwick was 10 months old, but this could be wrong.if Ellen Olive Harris is bringing up the sons would they not be listed with her in the later registrations?? aparently she was living with an Italian by this time and the boys called him Pap..What do you think? :-S |

Many thanks for your help guys, and getting quiet excited that this could well be the family I'm looking for...I'm not totally convinced (yet) as I dont have much to go on, but I do know from an older member of family aged 73 and could well be a little bit distorted with names etc that Ronald Charles Southwick born 1935 and Albert G Southwick 1933 were being brought up by their grandmother who was known as Grandma Nash (not sure I understand this bit as surely she would have been Harris!!) According to living member their mother Eileen M Harris died when Ronald was 10 months old but again this could have been just a story.. If I could trace the sons Ronald and Albert living in this road I may be able to suss out the granny, was she their grat grandma?? no one seems to know.. :-( |

We believe Albert F Southwick could have remarried, his first wife Eileen M Harris died leaving two young sons Ronald and Albert Southwick..The sons were taken from the father by their grandmother (dont know her name) while the father Albert disappeared and never to be seen again..Many thanks. :-D |
