A copy of his marriage certificate should name his father:

Researching:

Buy his marriage cert - it will tell you his father.

I'm trying to trace a Charles Oliver (c1830), married to Anne Hickley 1853 on Frederick (c1957), grandchildren William (1879) and Nellie Amy (1884). I've come to a dead end. Don't know where he originates from or anything before these dates. Hoping someone can help.
