There is a Robt Thompson born 1817 on the census at Northallerton, Yorkshire on FMP index. Dont know where he was born. Could someone please take a look. I am hoping his wife is Ann born 1818 possibly Darlington? Thank you. |

Just logged on after a couple of days absence. I got a marriage of Ann Race to a Robert Thompson at Bedale on 20 December 1836 off familysearch and I am now trying to find them, cant find them on 1841 census index. Thought this might be them. Thanks. |

My info is a bit of a long shot. Benjamin and Elizabeth Race had a son Byers born 1815 in Piercebridge, near Darlington, baptised Manfield church, also near Darlington. Their next children were born Elizabeth 1821, Hannah1823 and Mary1826 in Forcett, near Richmond. I wondered why there was such a gap between them and then found Ann Race, parents Benjamin and Elizabeth baptised 1818 St Cuthberts, Darlington. In 1841 the family were in Crakehall near Bedale and there is the marriage of Ann Race in Bedale in 1836 so I am trying to make a connection. Regards . |

Hi, this is an old post relating to the above. Could someone look at the 1841 census for the Bedale registration district. On FMP index there is Robt Thompson aged 20 born 1821 and two Ann Thompsons one spelt Ann and one spelt Anne same age. I am hoping ann(e) is Robert's wife. Where do they live and who with. I know the ages are rounded up/down. Thank you. |
