My gggg grandparents were Benjamin Bridgwater born around 1796, Warwickshire and Mary Hathaway on the 29/09/1824 at St Martin’s Birmingham. At some point they managed or owned The Barrel at 50, Snow Hill, Birmingham. i have their descendance (children: John Yates Bridgwater and Mary Ann Bridgwater) but am stuck with their parents and where they came from. Thanking anyone in advance for any help.

Hello Benedicte - could you just clarify what that 1824 date represents?

It isn't clear whether it's Mary's birth or their marriage.

Hello Marie Celeste,
Sorry I didn't say exactly! It is their marriage date.

John Yates Bridgwater was their son, married to Helen Greenwood. It's the right family but I'm looking for their ancestors if possible, and where they were from exactly.

Reggie, thanks. Again this looks like the correct family since the names and ages seem correct. I think that Benjamin and Mary were at The Barrel on 50 Snow Hill in Birmingham at the time. Benjamin died not long afterwards since he was not on the 1851 census with his family and Mary was managing the Barrel.

AnnCardiff,
That's definately them. I presume that the only way I can find out where Mary came from is by ordering their marriage certificate?

Thanks AnnCardiff,
I don't think that it is the right family as I've already seen them but I'll check again.
