James, I think what Shirley was asking is how you got back to this Robert and how you know which one is the right one - as she says, there are quite a few. I assume you have some other info, such as parents' names from his marriage cert for example? |

I am trying to confirm the actual birth of a Robert Dick born c1875/1876. I have found Robert on the 1881 census and 1891 censuses for Scotland. He is the son of Robert Dick and Jane Young who were married on 18/12/1874 in Bothwell in Lanarkshire, the family were farmers in the Holytown area of Lanarkshire, Scotland. |
