Same name:-

British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920 about James Reitze
Name: James Reitze
Regiment or Corps: Machine Gun Corps
Regimental Number: 126809

............but if he served in WW1 he would be in his late 40s when he married so probably not him, but may be a relative?

To find ancestors you should start by buying a copy the marriage certificate. This will give you his age at the time of marriage so you can work out a date of birth. It will also give you his father's name and occupation which may help find earlier records of him and his family.

My wife's cousin Doreen K Pearce married James Reitze in Willesden, London 1946. Can anyone help regarding ancestors and descendants of James Reitze please? We believe that Doreen moved to Inverness after the marriage and may have had a son named Ian. Any help will be appreciated.
