Now please note the only connection I have with him is the marriage from 1914 and the parents details - and the marriage shows he was born in Ontario!

I don't think that 1891 is your family, more likely William George went over on his own - haven't yet found him on a passenger list, but still looking ....

.... or may just be a complete coincidence.

When were your William snr and Eliza Jane Deans born?

So, as my ancestor Margaret Ferris (born 1861) was living in Yorkshire, England, with her own family in 1891, it seems this void?!

Surely William would not have two daughters named Margaret?

And it also seems he would have remarried - what do you think?

Hi there,

I am looking for infor on some family of mine.

I'm currently in the PRONI and found the baptism of my gg grandmother Margaret Ferris, born 28th March 1861 in Tonaghmore(?),Saintfield, County Down, Ireland in the First Saintfield Presbyterian Church.

Her parents were William Ferris, a tennant farmer it seems (not mentioned on the baptism but from the Griffiths valuation) and Eliza Jane DEANS.

I also found siblings:

Sarah (born 1848 from census in 1901 - married David Cardwell)
Lizzie Jane (b. 1850 from 1901 census)
James (1856)
Agnes (1857)
George (1863)

When looking for info on them on the family these siblings (not sure which church):

Deborah (1866)
Martha (1869)
