Or is this her in 1851?

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much, she married John Wallis in 1865 in Loughborough, she my 2nd great grandmother. Have every but the 1861 census the Catherine Squires she with on the 1851 census is her mother.


Did'nt knew she had a sister Eliza can you find anything else on her please. Her parents were baptist.

Not seeing Eliza earlier, but bear in mind that sister-in-law doesn't necessarily mean the same as it does now. It could also means step-sister or somehow related by marriage.

Ah yes that's true forgot about that, silly me Elizabeth is down as daughter inlaw on 1851 and should have been step-daughter, could you have a look and see where Eliza was born please.

Why not look for a possible marriage for Eliza?

Unfortunately, Kensington isn't very well covered on Ancestry's parish info, and there is no entry for that marriage. It would have been useful, if only to verify age, and father's details

Yes that's what I was hoping for, but that's why I was asking where Eliza had put down as place of birth if it was wymeswold then she could be Elizabeth's sister.

Hi Barry,

Thank you for taking the trouble to look but I do have those and form the baptist records of East Leake but as you say nothing for Elizabeth just that she's with her parents on the 1841 census. There is a big gap between the birth of Samuel Upton Goodacre in 1821 and Elizabeth in 1835.
What I was asking for is someone to look on the 1861 census to see where Eliza Willis has put down as her place of birth so I can try to work out why Elizabeth is down as sister in law to Eliza'a husband.
