Hello Polly. Was Ada his wife? Did they have children? Have you checked out potential deaths for them?

Ada was an inpatient of Highgate Hill Infirmary, now St Mary's wing of Whittington hospital Highgate. Father's name was gven as Frederick Rose aged 37.

23rd January 1914-21st February Sydney was transferred to Hornsey Rise Receiving Home.

1914-23 Sydney was transfered to Hornsey Road Childern's Home, St Mary's Isling School.

EDIT: Is it likely that Frederick and Ada weren't legally married? (Not seeing a marriage).

Hi, Sydney was my father and his brother Frederick Charles died in 1914. His mother Ada went to Whittington Hospital and I think that is why my dad went into the home. I think she was discharged from hospital after 18 months but did not go back for him. I wonder if she went to the workhouse so that is my next task. I cannot find any marriage for Ada and Fred, I also cannot find a death for either of them. I do have a photo which I think is of Fred in an army uniform so thats another line to follow.
