Find Ancestors

Hi
I am trying to find my 3 x great grandparents on the 1861 census. I have them on the 1841,51 & 71.
They are John Snape born c1798 in Rainow Cheshire and Bridget c1799 Manchester. They are likely to be still living in Cheshire .
In 1841 they were living in Prestbury and John was a labourer.
In 1851 living in Bollington and John was a quarryman.
In 1871 living in Bollington and John was a stonemason

If anyone can find them I would be very grateful

I've trawled the images for Bollington in 1861 - can't see them

Only one piece missing for Cheshire, in a different part of the county.

I can't even find their son James.

Yes, also "taken a walk" through Bollington. There are Snape families, just not the right one.

Son Frederick Edge is in Bollington with wife Jane

Snape is a very common name in the area unfortunately and has caused me no end of problems.

Have you found other children incase parents with them and mistranscribed

I did look a while ago but am searching again at present.
John did have older chldren from a first marriage so I'm checking them.

I'm wondering if there is part of the census missing for this area.
I have looked at some of John's older children and they are also missing from the 1861 census. They were in Bollington in 1851 & 71.
I did find one of his children on the 1861, he was in Bollington, but John was not with him.

I had a look Carole, the only Cheshire bit missing according to FMP is for Great Boughton, Chester and there are certainly records for Bollington. Maybe they were all out on the town for the night !
