Some names would help.

How did you work back to those dates?

Please?

I can't see anything on Ancestry for a Leafe family in Woodborough.

Googling Woodborough comes up with a village of that name in Nottinghamshire, not far NE out of Nottingham itself. There is one Leaf family (Head of house is Green Leaf aged 42 born Notts) mainly based in the next village to there - Calverton - and Leafe families in Woodborough in 1841 but none in Derbyshire.

In 1851 there are Leaf / Leafe families in Calverton and Woodborough and Nottingham itself. There are also now a Leaf and a Leafe in the Belper region of Derbyshire, but both born Notts.

By 1861 numbers are growing in each County.

If you can give some names, ages etc we may be able to help more.

Connected - so don't duplicate efforts unnecessarily, as the poster has obviously worked back from the other people
