Looked at Boer War records on FMP....only one Frederick Willis, and not the one who is the subject of this enquiry. Does not exclude the possibility that he served - merely that his info (if relevant) hasn't been transcribed |

Probably Frederick's house - though without hot tub , fridge/freezer, dishwasher, etc, in those days! |

Details on Frederick's D/C not that they give any clue as to where he was in 1901. |

Can't see Margaret's death in Scotland, England or Wales. |

Looking at the image of the gravestone shows it to be Margaret's - Frederick's name is on it only as her husband |

I can only think he was in the Boer war but absolutely no indication that he was :-( |

I saw that 1955 death, but was led astray by the Blairgowrie cemetery record. |

That is really deceptive. This is his death in 1955. I looked at the D/C and it is definitely the correct man. |

The Blairgowrie Cemetery record posted above has a photo of Margaret's gravestone attached - but there's no stone for Frederick. |

Just for our reference - in 1891 he was still with his parents and siblings in Fulham (his father was a gardener), but he was in Wales in 1911: |
