Member Since: January 2008 Posts: 741 Send Message	This gentleman is my 4x Great Grandfather, Cheetham's scholar, calico printer, etc., etc. 1768 - 1836. His second wife is SOPHIA HILTON 1785 - 1824, daughter of John Hilton etc., etc. When John and Sophia married, Miles is stated to already be a widower at the age of c.21. It would seem that his first wife's name was Catherine Grierson, but I'm not 100% sure about that? I'm guessing that she possibly died in childbirth but I can find no record of her birth, death, nor a possible baby dead or alive. I'd be grateful for any help, please.
