Find Ancestors

In looking up info on my maternal great grandmother I found something that aroused my nosiness factor.
My great grandmother had a son, Francis Bavis, who was working for a mining company owned by Bromilow, Foster & Co. in 1921 census. My mother's aunt married a Bromilow so that raised my curiosity. I emailed my cousin but he didn't think there was any connection to his father's family. He thought there were two Bromilow families in St. Helens at that time.

So - Thomas & Louisa Bavis had a son Francis (I have all information on this family).
My aunt is Lavinia married to Eric Bromilow, all from St. Helens.
Parents of Eric are William Bromilow and Elizabeth Derbyshire

I have tried googling Bromilow, Foster & Co. but can't find any info on who the Bromilow owner was. Can anyone suggest how I can find out.
