I'm looking for any information on cabinet makers, upholsterers and frame makers in wilson street bristol between 1880 and 1941. Any info on addresses etc would be greatly appreciated |

Might be a case of searching online lists or else checking the street occupants in census. |

You can search by address on FMP, although censuses only record residents. Unless they lived where they worked, I doubt you’ll get much joy there |

Google Historical Directories - you should get a link to Leicester University. They have lots of Kelly and/post office directories ( these arenot phone books)available for free on line. |

Hi all thanks for the replies the name of the company was taplin and son 1 know they worked for a while out of 1 wilson street, but noticed in a photo a framemaker at 6 wilson street not sure if it was their business. Story my wife was told was taplin and son had workshops in portland square. |

I can see adverts put in by Taplin & son between 1905 and 1928 but they all have Wilson St, Portland Square, no number mentioned. |
