Hi, I am looking for my 4xreat grand parents in 1881 -
Thomas Wilkinson b 1803 Houghton le Spring, Co Durham & Isabella (Wilson) Wilkinson also b 1803 in Houghton le Spring.

1841 family in Houghton le Spring,
1851 Quarry Hill, Houghton le Spring,
1861 Grange Row, St. Gile, Belmont, Durham,
1871 Arthur Street, Gateshead, Co Durham

Thomas died 1883 in Gatedhead area. Where is he in 1881?

I have a death for an Isabella 1869 but I know this is not the correct one because she is alive in 1871 census. Where is she after 1871?

I descend from their daughter Jane Hannah Wilkinson, who had an illegitimate son, Henry b1859 in Cassop, Co Durham. Henry is my 2xgreat Grandfather.

Jane Hannah appears in 1841 & 1851 then disappears completely only to give birth to Henry in 1859 then disappears again!

I am not sure if I have posted for this family in the past, but am just restarting research into this sie of the family, so asking anew....!!

Greyghoest & ErikaH - WOW ! Thanks so much for finding Jane Hannah Wilkinson for me in the 1861 & 71 census!

I have been looking for so many years to find her, and yet, thre she is !!

Nest to try & find her in 1881 and beyond.
I found a possible? marriage entry for a Jane Hannah Wilkinson in d\ecember quarter, 1903, Durham Reg District. If her, it would make her about 70 years of age,

Not impossible, but hey, who knows..!

Now I know she is aive in 1871, I would lie to be able to find her death at some point.

Thanks ArgyllGran, it was a bit of a long shot to think it was my Jane Hannah, but sometimes you have to check these things out.

Just want to find her post 1871 on a census, marriage or death.

I need closure on her as disappearance has bothered me for a long time now!
It would be nice to know who the father was of her son, Henry, my 2x great grandfather, but I guess we'll never know that now.....

Any records which don't include her middle name make it almost impossible to identify which might be her.

For instance, there's this death which might be a possibility, as she was in Sunderland in 1871 - but no way of knowing if it's her or not without buying the cert.
