I have been trying to find Albert clark in both the 1891 and 1901 census with no luck.
He was born in Bristol 1871 nd baptised on 21st June 1879. His parents were William Clark and Charlotte Betty. He is on the 1881 census with his parents living in Coombe Dingle he is stated as age 9. The next census I can find him on is 1911 in aberavon which I know is definitely ok.
He married in 1905 in Bishops Lydeard, Somerset but his address was given as Swansea . I know the history from then on. If anyone can help fill the gap of the 1891 and 1901 census I would be very grateful. thank you very much

Have you found his parents and siblings in 1891/1901?

His birthplace is recorded in 1881 as Henbury, which is where he was baptised

His age varies in 1911, 1921 and on his death registration, so be flexible when searching.

Think laterally regarding surname spelling and first name as well.

He probably ‘adjusted’ his age because his wife was many years his junior ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hi Erika, thanks for replying. Yes his age varies all the time but I found a birth registration for Oct/nov/dec for 1871 in bristol so hopefully the correct one.! I have his parents on the census in 1891 in Shirehamption Bristol .Father died in 1894 but have his mother, who moved in with her daughter Emily and husband on both censuses. Found all his siblings which are older than him except William Frederick born 1856 who other than his birth I have not found anything yet.
Thanks

There is a service record on FMP which suggests the RA driver on 1911 census may possibly have been Arthur Wilfred Clarke, born West Harptree.
Second opinion welcome……….
