Looking for any descendants of James Meechan, living in Springburn Glasgow in the 1840s. He was a quarrier,or quarryman labourer,(born about 1804) married to Jane McCormick(born about 1815).They were both Irish The name could be spelled Meighan,Michan, Meechan, Meechen or any other variation. Only known son so far was Archibald Meechan(1846-1885). His daughters were Mary Ann Mechan(born about 1841 in Cadder and Jane born about 1850 in Springburn.
