I have several lists available that may be of use/interest to people researching Janes ancestors, including: 1. A list of Janes deaths in England compiled from the register of deaths (a bit morbid, but lots of useful information!) The list currently runs from 1883 to 1888 with 1875, 1876 and the last q of 1918/first q of 1919. 2. A list of all entries on the LDS International Genealogical Index for the surname Janes categorized by county/region. 3. A list of Janeses from the 1881 census who have connections to Woolwich (were either living there for the census or were born there). Contact me for a copy of either list, or find them online by looking for Bryan Janes’ one name study webpage (mentioned above) - type "janes one name study" into google and follow the link from there to the yahoo JanesResearch group (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/JanesFamilyResearch/?yguid=186591456 this message board won't let me paste the web address). This group is free to join and is there to share info about the Janes family (not just in Woolwich) so please don't feel put off from joining. Bob Janes, Abbey Wood, London
