LIZZIE WALTERS BORN : WITNEY AREA , OXFORDSHIRE around 1880 DIED : OLD SWAN LIVERPOOL around 1914 I am trying to find any information on my maternal grandmother LIZZIE WALTERS. I believe that she came from North Leigh near Witney Oxfordshire as did her husband and moved to the Prescot Knowsley area around 1900 with her husband. I guestimate her to have been born around 1880. She was a Midwife by profession and was married to ALBERT MANSELL who was a plasterer and slater on Lord Derby's Estate at Knowsley and also owned a bicycle / gramophone shop in Eccleston Street Prescot Lancs. They lived in possibly School Lane, Knowsley Village and in Atherton Street and Eccleston Street Prescot. Family knowledge on her is that she was killed by a tram, that had unexpectedly backed-up, in the Old Swan area of Liverpool in the 1930's. This was (so the story goes), after she had, in her capacity of midwife, just brought a pair of twins into the world. She had several children but I am only aware of five: Florrie; Gladys; Winifred Maud; Minnie May(my mother)and James Gilbert. I am trying to find A// Her birth details and B// Her ancestry. Thank you if you can help. Richard M Rothwell
