Hi, I'm looking for information on my gggrandfather Robert Ferrier born c1817 in Ireland. I don't know where in Ireland. His death Certificate shows he re-married to a Grace Roberts after Flora McKay, his first wife, died. He was 82 years when he died in 1899 in Bridge of Weir. His parents were listed as David Ferrier and Margaret McLachlan. Robert and Floras children were: Christina, Margaret, Archibald, Alexander Blackwood, Flora, John Blackwood, Mary, John, Catherine, Thomas Burnett and Elizabeth - all born in Houston district. There is also a James Ferrier, born c1822 in Ireland, in 1881 Census living in Paisley and children born in Houston district who is possibly related. Looking for clues as to where to check next as the 'Irish' records are thin on the ground. Regards Doug
