my name is john shale (1947-). My father's name was john joseph shale (1918-1999). he had a brother william shale (slightly younger), who had a son also named william. His father was an engineer (?), who worked on various bridges around the country. He was supposed to have been one of three brothers whose father (my great grandfather) owned a one-man pub brewery in the Leicester area.My father and I were both born in Liverpool. I know little about my grandfather, except that he must have been previously married because my dad had an older half-brother (harold) living in London.If any of this strikes a chord, you can contact me at [email protected] and we can compare notes. |
