Just a quickie for those of you trying to trace people with this name. I recently asked my Gran for the names of her grandparents and she told me her Gran was called Katherine FUERY. When I eventually found a birth certificate that had her as the mother, her name was spelt FUREY. I have now found her marriage and her name is spelt FURAY so.... don't forget to check for alternative spellings, although I have to be honest and say I don't know how it has got from FUERY to FURAY, but it keeps me busy!! If anyone else finds alternatives for this name, please post it so I can try and keep a track of it's changes! |
