I am looking for any info about my mother's family from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England. Her father was William (Bill Benson) of Scottish ancestry but I have no idea where in Scotland he was born. He married my grandmother Irene (Rene) maiden name possibly Windsor and she was English. They lived in Amersham all their married life and had 3 daughters, Pamley (my Mother was the eldest), Anne and Lilian. All born Amersham in the ate 1930's/ early 40's. My mother married Tom (Thomas) Clements and they emmigrated to New Zealand in the late 1950's. My father's mother's name was Martha Turner until she married then it was Clements until she was widowed and then she married Arthur Revell and they had a son called Martin, also in Amersham. Either the Benson's or the Clements'/Revells lived at 2 Popes Close as I remember writing letters to there as a child. Bill Benson used to work on the railway. All my grandparents died in the 70's, in Amersham. I am just starting to trace relatives so any info would be greatly appreciated. I was raised in New Zealand and now live in Australia so the internet is my easiest option for finding info. |
