Hello, my name was Claire Charlton prior to my marriage in 1999. I,m looking for any information about my maternal grandparents George and Agnes (he had a sister called Ada) - my Grandad was a policeman in both Newcastle and Sunderland prior to becoming a publican in the East end of Sunderland in 1925 ish. My Grandmother's family were originally from the Scottish borders - she was Davie before marrying my grandad and had 2 brothers Nelson and Thomas and a sister, Frances who died of Typhoid c1914. They always lived in or around the east end of Sunderland and her father was a shipwright for Austin and Pickersgill. I would welcome any information that anyone may have. |
