Is anyone desperately seeking 'lost' Ayrshire connections? Do you recognise this White family from Coylton in Ayrshire? Hugh White, the son of John White (blacksmith) and Mary Douglas from Ochiltree, married to Janet Thom,1869, in Coylton. Hugh & Janet had the following family (all born in Coylton): Hugh White b1869 [died 1886] James Thom White b1870 Mary Douglas White (1) b1872 [died before 1878] William White b1874 [died in infancy] Mary Douglas White (2) b1879 William Thom White b1884 Janet (Thom) White died in 1884 at Woodside, Coylton, (possibly in childbirth or post-natally). If you think you have a link to this family, or, are a known descendent, I would be pleased to hear from you. [Janet's parents are in my direct line of descendency.] |
