HELP ! IVE HIT A BRICK WALL! I am trying to find the decendents or info on the a Family of a Rasmus Sorensen that Arrived in Rockhampton Queensland Australia, 31 oct 1873 on the ship Eugenie from Hamburg. The family came from Denmark. father -Rasmus Sorensen May of changed his name to a more english name, maybe a second name of eg. Fredrick or Neil as it appears alot in the families family mother- Ane/Annie/Anna Sorensen nee Rasmussen worked at one stage at the Condong Sugarmill as a domestic,while sons in mill working. sons 1;- Rasmus Peder (Peter) a cane farmer in the Bundaberg/Gympie area, visited his brother before he died in Brisbane 1926-7 brought 2 sons or grandsons and a little girl with him boys names like Robert, Charles, Carl, Neil,Edward, Fredrick, Peter, Stan, girls names Lily,Dorothy,Rose,Eva. names that are repeated through the family. Boys were born around 1911. He may have also holidayed on the Gold Coast with a family called Briggs. 2-Carl Christian(Charlie) a Linesman,Champion Runner and lived Dunellen/Thompson Estate Later Greenslopes Brisbane. daughters 1- Karen Dorothy lived Stones Corner Brisbanemarried Lund and Peet. 2-Charlotte Christina lived also Greenslopes Brisbane married Copeland. The Father, mother and son Peter I am most interested in,but would love to hear from any family members. HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN HELP.? Regards Annette |
