Looking for information on Gervase (Gervace) Dodson. He was vicar of Attenborough St. Mary Church in York from 1625 to abt. 1650. That was when he emigrated to Virginia. I have found marriage records for 'Gervase Dodson and Margaret Cadwallider 26 Nov 1610' and '26 Sep 1635.Gervase Dodson, of Attenborough, clerk, & Francis Standish, Wid'. Both were from Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England. I know that after Gervase came to Virginia, he had a daughter, Catherine, who married Henry Boggess. I don't have any records of other children. I am looking for any other information that may help me link Gervase to some branch of the Dodson family. |
