mark shaw from wolverhampton here. adding information to my previous message. my dad is cyril george benjamin shaw born 1941. his father was walter cyril shaw who died in 1976and is buried in wombourne,staffs near w'hampton.he was born around 1916,and was possibly in the south staffs regiment as a soldier and a cobbler too, he served in burma.he married mary ann harris who divorced and she went from a shaw to a marshall after re marrying. he had a daughter vicky and 2 sons cyril and keith.this is the most further back information i have, and would be most grateful if anyone could find any links to scotland and anywhere else. Have just found out Walter was born in 1912,possibly March,and died in 28th Sept 1976 aged 64.He is buried at St Benedict,Biscop church in Wombourne,Staffs. |
