We are trying to trace relatives of Arthur John Dowding, my husband's father, who came from Walthamstow. He was born in 1906 and had at least 3 brothers - Francis, Albert and Charles and 3 sisters - Doris (known as Dolly), Ellen and we believe Charlotte who may have been known as 'Cis'. Their parents were Henry Dowding born c. 1871 in the Homerton area and Ellen Gray born c.1872 in Walthamstow. We believe that Henry Dowding's father was also a Henry and married a lady called Rosina (do not have her surname). Would appreciate contact from anyone who thinks they may be related. |
