sometimes spelt Saines, Saynes, Sanes, this is because people didn't know how to spell their names years ago. In the 14th century one of the French Kings sent his envoy to Avignon to resolve thesplit in the Roman Catholic Church . The Secretary to the envoy was named Sains - there are 8 small villages with the name Sains in them in France - there is a Sains temple of Love in Sains du nord. this info was from Ron Sains who traced our family tree. |
