My Maternal Grandfather, Archibald Kandar Wardle was born in Chester-le-Street, Co Durham in 1900 and was the youngest child of Robert & Barbara Wardle. His siblings were Robert, Andrew, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Louisa and possibly another called Will? (William). Two brothers apparently went to war and never returned to UK having gone on to America. We believe this was Robert (born 1885) and either Andrew (born 1887) or Will. They would have arrived in USA around 1918 but we have no more detail than that. If anyone has any information we would be delighted to receive it. |
