It is believed that my family originated in France and were conscripted to invade England, and in particular the Port of Bristol in the C17th. Bad weather forced the invaders to land in Pembroke and the locals apparently took sympathy on the hapless invaders and they soon merged into the local community. The original asylum seekers? |
