Someone may find this interesting, on my family tree the earliest name is Coulstock which becomes Coulstic(k)about 1700, then Thomas (1757-1847) is baptised as Coulstick, married as Costick and buried as Cosstick, one can only imagine that the vicar was only slightly more literate than his parishioners.
