I am interested in the Argyll Tysons. My ancestor Henry Tyson was married in 1786 in what is now Taynuilt. He probably worked as a woodsman for the Bonawe Furnace Company. They lived in or near Oban and Taynuilt for several generations, but one branch of the family seems to have moved to the island of Luing, Argyll. Does anybody have information about the Tysons of Luing? There are also Tysons in the south-west of Scotland in Dumfries and GAlloway. Does anybody have any family connections with these Tysons?
