Hi, I am trying to trace any ancestors with Surmane Seekings,Seakings,Seekins,Seakins or similar from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire or Huntingdonshire areas .My Great, Great, Great Grandfather Joseph Seekings, born approx 1830, together with his wife Elizabeth (nee Doughty) moved from Terrington St Clement, Norfolk to Portsmouth, Hampshire approx 1860-2. I understand that their ancestors came from Cambridgeshire, moving from the Witcham and Stretham areas from approx 1800 or earlier.
