Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 1 Send Message	Bastable is a derivative of Barnstable, North Devon. There is a heavy preponderance of Bastables in the Devon/Dorset area, including one branch of the family buried in the cemetary at Marnhull, Dorset. Other Bastable's seem to have migrated to Kent/Sussex area where they became involved in either the fish and/or poultry industries
