Hi I am Christine Hill, my maiden name was Petty. I am the only daughter of David Roy Petty and Muriel Featherstone Seirs. My paternal Grandmother was Phillis Edith Tams of the Pottery from Stoke on Trent, brought up by her Aunts as her father died before she was born and her mother remarried. My paternal Grandfather Leonard Petty had a sister Marjorie, and a brother Roy (who spent time out in India on the Gold Coast). The Petty Family lived in the Southampton area at St Catherine's Road, Easleigh and Pitmore Road in Allbrook. My Grandfather was a Brother of the St John'Ambulance, and an Air Raid Warden in Eastleigh during the Second World War. He worked for the railway at Southampton Docks. My great Grandmother, Grandma Holdup lived in Salisbury. If you know anything about the family contact me. |
